Summer Days
Summer is one of my most favorite times of the year. The warm weather, no school, and the good vibes. I love being able to wake up and actually feel refreshed from a good sleep. Knowing that the stress of school is still 2 ish months away. I love laying out in the sun and letting the rays cook my skin. I love spending time on the lake and going to beaches, along with swimming and laying in a floaty in my pool.
The sounds of the large blue waves rolling onto the warm white sand. As the waves hit the white warm sand you can hear CRASH CRASH CRASH. The kids digging for seashells make little screaming noises after each cool new shell they find. As I lay in the sun on my pink towel taking this all in, I think to myself, “wow I live for these nice days.”
My body starts to tan from the glissing sun. One little sweat drop starts to roll down my forehead as if I was just starting to do a workout. I look up to the sun to see it still shining as bright as always. I look over to my friend laying beside me and say to her “You know, these types of days are the best!”
As the day started getting shorter and the sun started setting, the area around us started becoming less and less crowded. Many people left to start their nightly summer cookouts and will be back shortly to watch the amazing sunset. Watching those sunsets, is also something I look forward to every summer and really enjoy. The bright colors lighting up the sky and seeing the day become more calm.
Sadly every good thing must come to an end. Unfortunately these amazing days won’t last super long for us here in wisconsin. We get to enjoy them for about a good 3 ish months before reality hits again and the cold weather starts settling back into our lives. As the summer months start to come to an end we have the memories from the past year to enjoy and think about. That is until the next summer comes at least.
