Snow White
Once upon a time, in the middle of the forest, there was a castle ruled by the most beautiful and evilest of all, The Wicked Queen. Most of you will probably know me as the Evil Queen that poisoned snow white to death because of envy, but let me tell you my part of the story. If you guys didn’t like me for poisoning Snow White, you aren’t gonna like me for what you’re about to find out. I once was the most beautiful, prettiest, most peaceful woman in this village. Everyone loved me, they saw me as their queen for being the fairest of them all and having an enormous amount of magic. Every day I would wake up and ask,
“Magic Mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?”
“My Queen, you are the fairest in the land”, said my mirror.
I would gaze at myself in the mirror every single morning after it reminded me of how perfect I was. I was always pleased with what my mirror told me because the magic mirror never lies. Things were going great for me until one day,
“Magic Mirror on the wall, who’s the fairest of them all?” I asked my mirror with a great desire of hearing it say my name like always.
“Famed is thy beauty, Majesty. But hold on, a lovely maid I see. Rags cannot hide her gentle grace. Alas, she is fairer than thee.”
“Alas for her name. Reveal her name.”
“Lips red as the rose. Hair black as ebony. Skin white as snow.”
“Snow White !” (add character expression ) like, the evil queen furiously yelped
Snow White took my spot as the fairest of the land. I was frustrated because all my effort on being the fairest of them all was not worth it. Snow White became the fairest with no effort, all she did was clean the floors of my castle and serve me. All my effort went to the trash. One day, I sent Snow White to the forest, to receive some things that were sent to me. That day I also asked a hunter to kill her and bring to me her internal organs.
“Kill her, and as proof that she is dead bring her lungs and liver back to me.”
The hunter I gave orders too, betrayed me. He lied to me. Instead of Snow White’s organs, he bought me a boar’s lungs and liver. For a moment, I felt that I had the power again because Snow White was dead, but when I found out about this betrayal, my anger rose. My most loyal hunter, the one who always showed respect to me, betrayed me and showed loyalty to Snow White because now she was the fairest of them all. I wasn't gonna give up my throne of being the fairest easily, so I tried tricking her in different ways. I once made her try on a corset, which was so tight that she passed out, but these little nosy dwarfs saved her by cutting the laces. After some time, I dressed myself up and sold Snow White a poisonous comb, which she puts in her hair and causedcauses her to pass out. The dwarfs never minded their own business and took the comb out. My last try was something that couldn’t fail, a shiny poisonous apple. No dwarf was gonna be able to take the poison out of her system. She couldn’t deny an apple from an old woman. As soon as she took a bite, her body slowly fell to the ground, extending her hand out, letting the apple roll out of her hand. I left and returned to being the fairest of them all. Her body was taken by the dwarfs in a glass coffin. Later that day, I saw a handsome Prince get close to the dwarfs and the coffin and I heard him say that he thinks that with one kiss of his, Snow White Will be revivedbewas gonna revived. The rest of the dwarfs agreed to let him. I immediately tried to prevent that nonsense. As soon as they saw me, they carried her coffin to some other place. As they carried her coffin out of their house, one of them stumbled. Jostled from her resting place in the coffin, Snow White spat out the apple lodged in her throat and was immediately revived,. Wwithout the influence of the Prince’s kiss. I was furious with everyone, with the dwarfs, the prince, and mainly with Snow White. It seemed like everyone wanted her to live, everyone loved her for being the fairest! That should’ve been me! Snow White took everything from me! I just wanted to go back to being the fairest of them all and have the love and respect of the people since I didn’t my whole life. My whole life, I’ve been treated with spite and no respect from people. For once, I knew what it meant to have people love you and admire you.

I'm Lizzbeth Inga, a senior at Ossining High School. This piece is based on one of my favorite princeses of all time. I chose to write in the point of view of Evil Queen because we all mostly know the pov of the reader that talks throughout the movie. I tried sharing the thinking, feelings, and opinions of the Evil Queen and try to excuse her evilness. I wanted to show why the Evil Queen is the Evil Queen.
