four legs are better than two
My sweet dog nuzzles her head into my chest. I can feel the softness and warmth of her golden curly fur. Her delicate eyes ever so slightly start to close. I can hear the soft inhales and exhales coming from her tiny nose. She smells like fresh flowers and feels like a warm and cozy blanket. I feel a sense of comfort when she lays next to me, like someone is giving me a big hug.
When everything feels hard in life and people feel so distant, sometimes she is the only one in life who keeps me happy. Everytime I see her, I can hear her tail wagging, making a pitter patter noise. Her fur is like clouds when I lay next to her, sometimes even soaking up my tears after a hard day.
She knows when I'm upset, her sweet and worried eyes tell me so. She doesn't make a sound, just me and her in a silent house. She cuddles up right next to me and I feel like someone loves me—unconditionally.
