Grandparents' House

November 22, 2021

I breath in the smell of old, leather couches as I open the squeaky door with a circular meatal handle that is as shiny as a diamond ring even though it is older than I am. The smell admittedly triggers the at-home feeling. The kind of feeling that makes someone feel like a missing puzzle piece, fitting right in effortlessly. Anyone is welcome and everyone is loved. Even though visiting grandma’s house is something I do almost every day, I never get used to the astonishing feeling that words cannot describe every time I step through the door.
