Fatal Lies
Every word he spoke was a lie. When he talked his shoulders slumped and he averted his gaze, making it easy to see. Still, part of me wanted to believe him.
Maybe that’s why I followed him to the park that night; honestly I went to taste danger, to finally feel alive with our fingers entwined and the moonlight dancing devilishly around us.
“I love you,” he had whispered, his breath warm against my cheek.
Adrenaline makes you say stupid things like, “I love you too.”
I thought it was harmless . . . really I did....
In truth lies are deadly weapons and in the end they killed him.
